Arnell is a world-renowned design and brand creation firm specializing in product innovation and experiential design from first concept to market solution. Areas of expertise are experiential design, product and brand innovation, industrial design, graphic design, packaging design, new media integration and retail presence.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Macintosh Engineer to work in our fast-paced, extremely user-centric environment. You should have a flair for building relationships and helping users understand the power of technology. The key responsibilities of this position will be as follows:
• Maintain and improve user support applications such as Adobe Cs2, Adobe Cs3 , Quark, and font management utilities
• Follow rigorous IT security practices, and provide technical mentorship of junior members of the IT team.
• Create documentation for IT staff and end users explaining the use of systems. Instruct end users and other IT staff in the effective use of solutions
• Architecture and administration capabilities including integration with Active Directory, to ensure that the current infrastructure remains viable and able to meet the user needs into the future.

In order to be considered for this role, you should have a blend of the following skills:
Academic/Professional/Interpersonal
• BS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum 5 years work experience with at least two years in a Senior support capacity
• The ability to design solutions and implement them into an Enterprise environment.
• Project Management skills and the ability to work independently
• Flexible – as special projects, longer hours, remote working and travel will be required from time to time
• Extremely strong teamwork ethic and customer support focus
Systems/Certifications
• Strong Knowledge of XRaids, XSAN, XServe, Active Directory Integration, XSan backup software technology Atempo or Equivalent, OSX builds and configurations, support of all Creative Applications
• Advanced architecture & administration skills in Apple desktop & server application components and Mac XServer (Panther/ Tiger/Leopard) operating systems.
• Macintosh server and related hardware expertise, including experience with configuration, automated installation, trouble shooting and enterprise implementation. The candidate must be comfortable in an enterprise of HP and Mac servers.
• Scripting technologies enabling the building of operating systems and server applications, as well as rudimentary administrative tasks
• Strong Knowledge of Atempo, Retrospect, Veritas, and Filemaker Software
• Systems engineering experience, primarily in Mac OS X Intel and G5 environment, including clustering technology
• Coding and scripting: shell, perl, php
• Preference for Mac certifications, i.e. OS X Deployment, Xsan, etc.
• Experience with web tools such as Apache, MySQL, php, etc.
